Who we are

What we collect and why
Enquiries. When you send the contact form, email us or call, we receive the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number and your message. We use them to reply to you and to quote for, arrange and carry out engineering work or equipment hire.
Customers and suppliers. If we go on to work together, we keep the contact, contract and invoicing details needed to do the work and keep our accounts.
This website. The site is hosted by Wix, which sets a small number of cookies needed to run the site, keep it secure and check that it is working. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
Our legal bases
We rely on our legitimate interests in replying to enquiries and running the business; on contract, where we are taking steps to enter into or carry out an agreement with you; and on legal obligation, where we must keep tax and company records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the business, such as Wix (website and contact form), our email provider and our accountants, and with authorities where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the UK
Wix says it stores information in data centres in Ireland and the United States, and that it protects international transfers using standard contractual clauses and additional safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within two years. Records of work, contracts and invoices are kept for at least six years, as required for tax and company records.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to or ask us to restrict how we use it. Email jc@cross-subsea.com and we will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if the way we use personal information changes.
